Emiliano Leal, Product Designer & Full-Stack Dev

Open to work, Mexico City

I'm Emiliano. I design and build web apps end to end: React and Next.js on the front, Node and SQL on the back, and the interface details in between. A software background with years of shipping design work behind it.

Fuerza Pepsico: Interactive Experience

Development · Full-stack developer

A survey and trivia web app for a Pepsico event, used by more than 1,000 people, many of them at the same time. I built the whole stack, solo.

  • 1,000+ people used it at a live Pepsico event
  • Question flow and live score display in React and Next.js
  • Scoring and answer validation on the server, not trusted from the browser, so results held up with many people playing at once
  • Schema and queries in Drizzle on Neon serverless Postgres
  • Deployed and hosted it for the event
  • Delivered an Excel database of every contestant and their score to the client

React, Next.js, Neon (Postgres), Drizzle ORM

100+ dealer websites at LeadVenture

Design · UX/UI designer

As a UX/UI designer at LeadVenture I designed more than 100 homepages for powersports, marine, and outdoor equipment dealers across the US and Canada. Scroll through some of them below.

  • 100+ dealer websites designed
  • Full homepage designs, from header and hero to inventory, services, and footer
  • One reusable structure, re-skinned for each dealer's brand, colors, and logo
  • Logos, graphics, and seasonal updates for existing sites

Still live with my design:

3D sculpting, printing & VR

3D & VR

Sculpting in ZBrush started as my hobby and grew into client work.

  • Personal sculpts in ZBrush, the hobby behind it all
  • Custom commissions: real sculptures recreated in 3D and printed
  • Models and assets for VR projects and 3D-printed pieces

Caos Café: brand from chaos theory

Brand · Brand designer

The café is called Caos, so the brand is built on chaos theory. I plotted the equations in Blender, rendered the curves as line art, and turned them into the logo, merch, uniforms, and packaging.

  • Strange attractors, like the Lorenz system, plotted from their equations in Blender and rendered as clean line art
  • One visual language from fine-line prints to a bold logo badge, so every piece reads as Caos
  • Applied across totes, uniforms, and packaging, with the line "I plotted my path in logic, and found myself lost in chaos."

Development · Solo project

My bilingual portfolio, designed and built from scratch.

  • A 3D bookshelf in Three.js that loads only when needed
  • Capricornus, my sign, traced off a star chart as the backdrop
  • My own identity: an "E" monogram, Satoshi, and a green accent

React, Vite, Three.js (R3F), Framer Motion

About

A developer who designs, not the other way around

I studied software development for five years, mostly game development, C++, and databases. Then I spent a few years working as a designer, which is where the other half of what I do comes from.

Now I do both. I take a product from the first sketch all the way to a deployed app: design, frontend, and backend. The small details are the part I enjoy most, and I'm looking for a product team where I can own that whole path.

Outside of code

My camera goes almost everywhere with me. Most of these photos are from trips, and taking them is my favorite part of traveling. I also like café hopping around a new city, which is usually how I meet people.

At home I'm usually modeling something in 3D or painting. The rest of my time goes to my family.

On my shelf

  • Atomic Habits, James Clear
  • Clean Code, Robert C. Martin
  • The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Milan Kundera
  • The Metamorphosis, Franz Kafka
  • On the Soul, Aristotle
  • One Piece, Vol. 1: Romance Dawn, Eiichiro Oda
